Argentina no ha estado exenta de ese interés y es así que comienza a tener una presencia permanente desde principios del siglo pasado, dando inicio a toda una generación de exploradores antárticos.
Entre ellos quizás el menos conocido, pero no por eso importante, ha sido Hernán Pujato. “Hielos míticos” recopila la lucha de Pujato y sus hombres por la conquista del continente blanco.
Pero también el film narra, a lo largo de una travesía sin igual, la belleza de este territorio cuya importancia ya nadie desconoce por ser el poseedor de la mayor reserva natural más importante para la vida: el agua.

The film follows the story of Hernan Pujato one of the most important of Argentinean Antartic explorers from the 1950s.
Mythical Ice recreates the story behind the most important expeditions of this explorer and his generation.
The film is also the excuse to tell the last journey of the Argentine’s icebreaker “Almirante Irízar”.
